| Congratulations to former PhD student, Gloria Kim, who recently received a two-year postdoc fellowship totaling $159,807 from The Brody Family Medical Trust Fellowship in Incurable Diseases, awarded by The Philadelphia Foundation. Kim's proposal was titled "Evaluation of Splice Variants as Targets of Cancer Immunotherapy." Kim received her doctoral degree in bioengineering in 2017 and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Breaking News: The first Impact Factor of Bioactive Materials was released today. The journal achieved an amazing impact factor of 8.724. It ranks the 2nd out of 38 journals in Materials Science, Biomaterials category and the 5th out of 87 journals in Engineering, Biomedical category.
