Characterizing a microPIV system to understand cellular mechanics

In an effort to understand cellular mechanisms and interaction, a micro particle image velocimetry system (optical flow measurement technique) will be validated and characterized to study said mechanisms. We are particularly interested in how white blood cells interact with cancer cells and how coagulation proteins interact after a procoagulant is introduced. This is a joint project with Dr. Keefe Manning.
