2016 Undergraduate Exhibition Award Recipient named

Undergraduate students from University Park and Penn State campuses presented their research on Wednesday, April 6 at Penn State’s annual Undergraduate Exhibition.
Held in the HUB-Robeson Center’s Alumni and Heritage Halls, the Exhibition featured more than 250 posters and 350 student presenters. Students were encouraged to submit work spanning the categories of arts and humanities, engineering, health and life sciences, physical sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and course-based projects (all disciplines).
Winners in the engineering category from the Department of Biomedical Engineering included:
- Arichanah Pulenthiran, first place - Embolus Migration and Capture from Different Cross-Sectional Release Positions
- Kristen Hagenah, third place - Predicting Thrombus Age by Imaging and Studying Blood Clots with Ghost Cells
- Demetrius Harris, third place - Biodegradable Citrate Based Polymeric Scaffold for Hernia Repair
